Hi! My name is Patrick! "Patches" is sort of a nickname.

I'm seven years old and I've lived in a lot of places all around the world!

I've lived in places like Japan, Alaska, New Jersey and even the capitol

of the United States of America, Washington, D.C.!

My Baba (that means Dad) is in the Army, which causes me to move quite often!

Moving usually means that I become 'THE NEW KID, AGAIN?!' in school,

in our neighborhood or wherever we move.

I love to play outdoors so, the knees of my pants get ripped and torn sometimes.

When they do, my Baba sews patches on them just like my Mama used to do!

THAT'S how I got the nickname Patches!

Being the new kid can be a difficult thing to adjust to, especially for a young child.

So, I find various ways to make my transitions go a lot smoother.

I LOVE adventures and try to explore something new every week!

On each of my journeys I meet at least one new child who has the potential to becoming a friend.

I also love to HELP my peers so, if someone I meet seems to troubled,

I'll do whatever I can to assist them.

My motto is, "Lending a hand is my daily practice! Welcome to the world of a boy called Patches!"

See you soon!

Patrick
